F3D-Kraken 11` with roughed out sections - Engines

Someone once said, that a 3d modeler building a Connie is like a Jedi building his
first lightsaber. Well, I think I'm going for my Jedi mastery by building a battlestar.

I'm also asking for general advice from those of you, who have built monster ships
like the battlestars, star destroyers, omega destroyer, etc. I know how to UV, and
I'm learning the material tree for several programs. Any advice on painting these mega
ships would be appreciated, even a tutorial about ship materials.

As you can see, the engines are almost complete, and I roughly blocked in the other
sections. Now I'm off to look for even more refs. ^_-
I'm still not back online, so I'll be back the next time I'm at my sister's place, in a few
days.

PS: I've shelved the Connie Construction Set for now. Suffering from Trek Burnout.
       This is the first time I've used modeled anything for quite some time. ^_-
